“Galfar Al Misnad Hosts Environment Day Speech Contest for Employees’ Children”

Galfar Al Misnad QHSE Department and the Galfar Toastmasters Club recently teamed up to host a successful speech contest for the children of employees. The event was held on 08.06.2024 at Galfar Corporate office. The event drew a large crowd, filling the venue with enthusiastic parents, judges, and guests.

The competition was divided into two categories: 6-9 years old and 10-13 years old. A total of 17 young contestants bravely took to the stage, demonstrating their public speaking skills to a captivated audience.

John Henry, the Event Director and Corporate HSE Manager, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting the stage for a memorable experience with his charismatic performance. He emphasize the purpose and importance of conducting such awareness campaigns to the youth. He also emphasized that Galfar has been instrumental in spreading social awareness all these 25 years of existence in Qatar. Lakshmi Sarada served as Chief Judge, overseeing the judging panel consisting of four experienced individuals.

Following the competition, Club President Subramanya Hebbagelu expressed his gratitude to the management, Executive Director Mr. Satish G Pillai and QHSE Head Mr. Navneetha Shetty and all participants, highlighting the importance of communication and leadership skills to the children. He also announced launching The Youth leadership program for Employee’s kids further emphasizing Galfar’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

The event was flawlessly coordinated by Mohamed Samad Imran with an eminent team. Master of ceremony for each category was gracefully conducted by Muhammad Hashir and Abdul Kader Saleem. The entire team made efforts for a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Each participant received a gift, certificate, and a plant sapling in recognition of their efforts, while the winners of each category were additionally awarded with trophies, gifts and medals.

This initiative by Galfar demonstrates their commitment to employee well-being and fostering positive development within the community. The speech contest provided a valuable platform for children to develop their confidence, communication skills, and public speaking abilities, ultimately contributing to their future success.
