Bengaluru: N Ravikumar, a General Secretary of the Karnataka BJP has accused the Congress in the State of playing a game of one upmanship a result of which is the corruption allegation leveled at the State government in the procuemnt of medical equipments.

Ravikumar claims that State Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar and their factions in the party are in a head on contest to gain more popularity and influence in Congress’s State unit and the State. Hence they are stooping to such an irresponsible and reckless act even during a time of crisis.

BJP leaders as well as ministers in the State cabinet have denied any graft in the procurement process.

However, State Congress has stuck to its claim that at least Rs 2000 crore have been embezzeled by BJP leaders including some cabinet ministers.
