Gandhi Bhavans to be set up in all districts: CM HDK

Bengaluru: CM HD Kumaraswamy said that the government is planning to set up Gandhi Bhavans in all 30 districts of the state.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan, CM said that land for the Bhavans had already been identified in 16 districts, and the procedures will be completed in all the remaining districts by this month.
Gandhi Bhavans will impart skill development training to youths, he said.
Addressing the gathering, CM requested the farmers not to commit suicide and push their families to more trouble.
He said his government is concerned about the farmers and work towards their upliftment.
Kumaraswamy said that his government worked on the ‘Jaladhare’ scheme to supply purified drinking water to all village households in the next five years at an estimated cost of Rs 7,000 crore. He said the detailed project report would be readied soon.
Gandhi Gram Puraskar awards were distributed to 175 villages.
