Ganesha Procession Violence: Pramod Muthalik calls for boycott of Muslims

The founder of Shri Ram Sena, Pramod Muthalik, has condemned the violent incident that occurred during the Ganesha procession in Nagamangala, where some miscreants allegedly threw stones, sandals, and petrol bombs.

Addressing presspersons, Muthalik questioned whether mosques had become centers for inciting violence and asked why Ganesha processions should not pass in front of mosques. He accused the incident of being a pre-planned riot and criticized the police for not being aware of it.

Muthalik announced his plans to visit Nagamangala and challenged authorities to stop him. He called for a boycott of Muslims and urged people not to engage in any transactions with them.

He further demanded the dissolution of the Waqf Board, questioning why only Muslims have such a board. He also threatened to stop the use of loudspeakers on mosques personally and declared his intention to install DJs in the state as a form of protest.

Muthalik warned that such riots would be met with a response from his supporters. He criticized the police for not taking action and accused them of being passive.

Muthalik also targeted the BJP, saying that they prioritize power over taking action against mosques’ loudspeakers. He referenced a past protest where Bommai’s government arrested him for fighting against the use of loudspeakers on mosques.

He expressed frustration over being barred from participating in the Ganesha idol immersion in Rattihalli, where local authorities had imposed restrictions on his entry.

He questioned why such measures were taken and stated that Rattihalli is a part of India, not Pakistan. He called on the authorities to control the rioters, asserting that he is not the one causing unrest and questioning why cases were being filed against him.
