In the wake of the upcoming Ganeshotsava Shobayatre, rally, the Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru, Mullai Muhilan, has issued a crucial order to regulate the sale of liquor in wine shops and bars within the district.
The Ganeshotsava festival, spanning from September 19 to September 29, promises an array of religious and cultural events that draw in a multitude of devotees, including women and children, from far and wide.
In a proactive measure to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of all festival attendees, DC Mullai Muhilan has directed that wine shops and bars will remain closed from 12 pm to 12 am on the respective days coinciding with the Shobhayatre and Visarjana rally programs.
This decision aims to promote a secure and peaceful atmosphere during the festival’s celebrations, allowing devotees to participate in the religious and cultural events without any untoward incidents.
