Gang attacked bar employees; rob cash and liquor

Mangaluru: Group of 12 youth barged into a bar at Talapady near here on Wednesday night and beat up two employees, took away cash and liquor bottles from here.

The victims have been identified as Praveen and Sujith.

Among the 12 accused, Nichchu, Sandesh, Rahul, Ganesh, Ramanand, Kiran, Shiva were identified.

It has been reported that, two persons, who approached Athithi Bar at Talapady late night on Wednesday, allegedly demanded liquor. When the staff rejected their demands, they broke the window and got into a fight with the bar workers. When the Ullal police were informed, one of them fled, and the other, identified as Soma, was taken into custody. A motor bike belonging to Nichchu which was found at the spot was taken into possession by the police.

As a revenge for this incident, a gang of youth led by Nichchu entered the bar and ransacked things, it is gathered.
