Gangavathi: Senior Health Inspector Vijay Prasad has been suspended by District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. B. Lingaraju through an official order.
During a district-level review meeting on the progress of national health programs, Vijay Prasad reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation with Dr. Lingaraju in the presence of all officials. He failed to align program data accurately and insisted that taluk health officers provide the required information, displaying negligence and a lack of responsibility.
The suspension order cited Vijay Prasad’s misconduct, negligence, and disrespectful behavior towards senior officials as the reasons for the disciplinary action. The incident created an environment of disrespect during a critical review meeting, leading to the suspension.
