Gangolli: A fisherman who had accidentally fallen into the sea was rescued after 43 hours at sea.

The 25-year-old from Tamil Nadu fell into the sea from a Marine boat from Kerala due to strong winds and rain on Sunday.

He kept swimming, drifting awaiting rescue. About 43 hours later, he was spotted, waving his hands and clapping, by the crew of a fishing boat named “Sea Sagar.”

Sridhar Kharvi Uppunda and Sanjeev Kharvi Maravanthe grabbed hold of him and lifted him into the boat, saving his life.

The rescued fisherman was given medical treatment and later handed over to the concerned boat owners.
