Gangolli: Stored sand to be given for private use

Udupi: Listening to the demands of the public, the deputy commissioner of the district has come forward to provide the 40,000 metric tonnes of sand which was collected during the work Gangolli break water, for private construction work.

Previously, the collected sand was reserved for government works like Ashraya and others. But, currently due to the greater demand for sand for the construction of houses and building for the public, the decision was taken to provide the sand to the private at the district sand in-charge committee meeting on Dec 2nd.

Those in need of the sand must get the blueprint along with the amount of sand required from the officials of their relevant GP, municipality or Corporation and along with Aadhar Card and provide the relevant documents to the executive engineer, PWD, Kundapur, pay the required fee and avail the transport permission, she said.
