The gas pipeline of Indian oil-Adani gas private limited has said to be leaked. It is said that the incident took place around 11.15 am while the municipality workers were undertaking maintenance work in the area.

As the gas pipeline punctured it led to the leakage of  methane gas in the area. Immediately, The fire service was called which prevented further damage. Residents also switched off their main gas valve.

Also , as the pipeline was located near one of the electric poles, Hescom officials arrived and snapped the power supply of the area.

Residents claim that around 500 houses have gas pipeline connection, but the officials are not maintaining them well. They also claim that the municipality did not inform the company regarding the drainage maintenance work which has led to this mishap.
