Mangaluru: A general holiday has been declared for state government offices, schools, colleges and government-run concerns on November 12, the day of Mangaluru City Corporation elections to enable people to cast their votes.
Apart from the civic elections in the city, bypolls are being held at Panjikallu in Bantwal taluk, Bajathur and Mardala in Puttur, Kalmadka and Balpa oin Sullia taluk, and Arasinakki and Daregudde gram panchayat in Beltangady taluk on November 12 itself and a general holiday has been announced in these places too.
