Generous: Corporates donate over Rs 12.5 crore in 20 days for Covid aid in Mysuru

Mysuru: District Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri said that as many as 24 corporate companies in Mysuru have together contributed over Rs 12.53 crore towards Covid relief, .

Speaking with this regard she said, “As many as 41 out of the total 54 industries in Mysuru have come forward to donate under CSR while many companies have sponsored ICU and HDU beds, ventilators, well-equipped ambulances, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, oxygen plants, medical kits, PPE kits and other equipment. These are now being used efficiently with accountability.”

She noted that the contribution was made by the companies in 20 days by spending money under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The DC has also made an appeal to others to make contributions.
