Ghar Wapsi for Mukul Roy as he rejoins Trinamool Congress

Kolkata: In a massive jolt for the saffron party, BJP national vice president Mukul Roy rejoined the Trinamool Congress on Friday.

The development took place after Mukul met TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee at party headquarters.

“Mukul has returned to us. During the election he has not said a word to us,” Mamata said, adding that she will never take back those “who belittled us, spoke ill of the TMC during the election”.

Roy, the former second-in-command of the TMC had joined the saffron party in November 2017 because of his differences with the TMC leadership.

Speculations of Roy’s ghar wapsi intensified as has been distancing himself from the BJP for the last several days.
