Girl abused and her brother assaulted; FIR against 15 persons

Udupi: 15 persons allegedly barging into a house at Shankerapura and abusing a girl as well as assaulting her brother. An FIR has been filed against the accused in this regard.
According to the complaint filed in Kaup police station, Nikhil D’Souza, a resident of Shankerapura was on his way to drop his sister’s friend to her house when he was stopped by a person identified as Sudhakar.
Sudhakar and others, among who was Nikhil’s cousin Alphonse too, reportedly took Nikhil to task for speeding and riding with a girl. On reaching home Nikhil informed his family on what had occured. LAter Nikhil’s sister confronted Alphonse for assaulting her brother.
On Monday June rd, at around 8 pm, Alphonse, Sudhakar, Ganesh, Sujith and Tushal and 10 others allegedly barged into Nikhil’s house and abused him and his sisters.
The Kaup police have booked the accused under sections 143, 147, 447, 323, 354, 504, 506 and 149 of the IPC, based on the submitted complaint.
In her complaint, Nikhil’s sister alleged that the accused had slapped Nikhil and kicked him.
