Girl blackmails boy for money after recording his video

Bengaluru: An incident where a young woman asked a young man to go bare during a video call, recorded it and later blackmailed him for money has been reported from here.

The man has registered a complaint at the Cybercrime police station at Whitefield.

The man has already given her Rs 22,000.

The young man, a Keralite, working at a company at Whitefield was staying at a friend’s house due to the lockdown. He had downloaded the OK Cupid app and had met the woman through it.

Both started chatting on WhatsApp after exchanging numbers. During one video call he went completely nude on her request. Unknown to him she had recorded the entire video call and threatened him saying that she will post the video on YouTube and other social media websites if he does not pay her.

Scared the young man transferred Rs 22,000 in her account. When she again demanded money from him the man went to the police.
