Girl dies of suspected dengue in Gadag

Gadag: A four-year-old girl who was suffering from fever died on Wednesday night in Gadag district hospital.

The is deceased identified as Pallavi Somanna Salmani, a resident of Byalwadagi village of Mundargi taluka.

Pallavi was admitted to Gadag district hospital last week after she was suffering from acute fever for the last seven days. In a primary check-up, doctors in Mundargi asked her parents to take her to Gadag for further treatment.

The Doctors in Gadag district hospital said that it was a suspected case of dengue.

However, following Pallavi’s death, her parents are reportedly blaming the doctors for alleged negligence in treatment.
