Girl student held in gold theft case

Kasargod: A girl college student has been detained in connection with theft of gold ornaments weighing around 19.5 sovereigns from a house located at Adkathbail Gudde temple road here recently.
House owner Kotevalappina Sunil, in his complaint, said that the ornaments had been stolen after opening the safe by using a bunch of keys kept in the cupboard.
The police detained the girl student for interrogation purposes. It is suspected that she committed the crime at the behest of her lover.
Both the girl and her lover are students of a college at Mangaluru, it is gathered.
