Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, during a robust campaign in Biligere village of his constituency Varuna, emphasized the critical importance of securing a significant lead for Congress candidate Sunil Bose in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Siddaramaiah’s appeal, made on Monday, has sparked discussions within the political circles.

Addressing the gathering, CM Siddaramaiah highlighted the pivotal role of Varuna in determining the electoral outcome. Referring to his victory margin of 48 thousand votes in the previous assembly elections, Siddaramaiah stressed the need for Sunil Bose to surpass this margin “by securing a lead of 60 thousand votes.”

In the last assembly elections, you secured my victory with a margin of 48 thousand votes. Now, “HC Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose must secure a lead of 60 thousand votes” in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This will solidify our position and ensure no one can challenge us. Therefore, it’s imperative to achieve this target, he said.

Accompanying the Chief Minister were prominent local leaders including Social Welfare Minister Mahadevappa, Animal Husbandry Minister K Venkatesh, MLA Anil Chikkamadu, and Darshan Dhruvanarayan. Their presence underscored the collective commitment towards ensuring success in the upcoming elections.

Siddaramaiah’s statement has garnered attention within the political spectrum, with observers interpreting it as a reflection of the high command’s directive to secure victories in the elections. It is rumored that failure to meet these objectives could lead to potential changes within the party’s leadership.

Amidst these speculations, both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are reportedly strategizing vigorously, viewing the elections as a matter of prestige.
