Belagavi: Minister M B Patil lashed out at Goa’s Irrigation Minister Vinod Palekar and its Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for using foul language against Kannadigas and asked the duo to apologise for the same.
Patil said that after discussing the matter with CM Siddaramaiah, the Karnataka government will take action against Palekar’s remark calling Kannadigas ‘haramis’.
The Karnataka Raskhana Vedike (Karave) activists urged that all supply of vegetables, milk and electricity to Goa must be stopped.
Blaming BJP National President Amit Shah, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and State BJP President B S Yedyurappa for the farce, he called them the ‘stage managers’ of the show.
“If Yeddyurappa had not made a fuss, the Goa Water Resource Minister Vinod Palyekar would not have come here. We will present our case irrefutably before the Tribunal and get our share of the water,” he reassured.
