Gold seized at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence sleuths seized over 2 kg of smuggled gold at Mangaluru International Airport(MIA).

The gold was found concealed in flight SG 479, the SpiceJet flight operating from Mumbai to Mangaluru.

Upon receipt of specific intelligence that victims are attempting to smuggle huge quantities of gold of foreign origin into the country through Mangaluru International Airport by way of concealing it inside aircraft, the DRI officers plot a plan to seize the gold and nab the culprits.

Further investigation in the matter along with look out for the smugglers behind the scene is underway.
