Gold worth Rs 34.32 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru: Customs officers at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Friday seized gold worth Rs 34.32 lakh from a passenger who arrived here from Dubai.
The accused passenger arrived by Air India Express flight IX384. He hails from Sullia, Dakshina Kannada district.
The officers seized gold weighing 681 grams, valued at Rs 34,32,240 from the passenger. The gold, in a paste form, was smuggled through body concealment.
A case has been registered.
