Goods worth lacs gutted in fire at Manipal industrial area

Udupi: A huge fire engulfed a business premise at Manipal Industrial Area in the early hours of Sunday, April 17.

The fire that reportedly broke out at the Westtek Enterprises caused loss of property worth lacs of rupees. There were no reports of loss of life in the incident.

Fire tenders were pressed into action and they had to struggle to control the blazing inferno till the morning.

It is suspected that an electrical short circuit may have started the fire.
