The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022, which began today at Bay Oval Stadium in New Zealand, was commemorated by Google Doodle.
The 12th Women’s Cricket World Cup kicked off today at 6:30 a.m. IST. The first match of the competition is between the hosts and the West Indies.
Six female cricketers are depicted in the doodle, playing the game in front of an audience.
When you search for Women’s Cricket World Cup on Google, you’ll see cricket balls moving from left to right on your screen. You can re-view them by clicking the confetti popper at the bottom of the page.

In 1844, Canada and the United States played the world’s first international cricket match.
England won the first women’s World Cup event, which took place in 1973.
There will be eight teams competing in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022. The tournament was originally set to take place in early 2021, but it was forced to be postponed until March of this year due to coronavirus-related travel restrictions that prevented the teams from entering New Zealand.
Overseas players have to go through a 10-day isolation period and follow strict “bubble” health requirements.
