Google duo adds family mode, lets users doodle on calls

Google duo is introducing a handful of updates in order to make video calling experience better. It is also coming up with a new layout that will let users see more people at the same time during video calls.
Soon, family mode will also be introduced on Google Duo. This feature allows users to doodle on video calls and add Augmented Reality (AR) effects to their calls.
Duo is getting a family mode that essentially adds a lot of masks and filters for messing about with the kids. The mute and hang up buttons get hidden in this mode, presumably to stop users accidentally hitting them.
User can also doodle on video calls for everyone to see, and there are new masks and effects that have been added. This includes a new astronaut mask and a cat mask, alongside the other existing in-app ones that have been available for a while.
To use the family mode, one has to click on the menu icon and then tap on Family to get started.
