Google Photos is ready to introduce a cool new feature to turn your regular images into life-like 3D images. Known as ‘Cinematic Photos,’ as it will turn any 2D image into a cinematic 3D image using AI.
This feature will be appended to the Photos’ Memories collection, where you can revisit your memory and the app will showcase a regular picture in 3D.
The app will use machine learning to predict an image’s depth and create a 3D representation of the scene. Then it will use a virtual camera to add a smooth panning movement, which will produce a 3D cinematic effect for a 2D photo.
Google Photos will create the images once the feature is available on Android and iOS devices. You can turn off the feature by clicking on your profile photo>Settings>Advanced>on/off Cinematic photos.
However, Memories will get new themes that feature some of the most important people in your life and favorite activities by interpreting the images you upload.
