On the annual event that celebrates the LGBTQ community, Google has come up with an Easter Egg to celebrate pride month.
Easter egg is an unexpected or undocumented feature in a piece of computer software or on a DVD.
When you type ‘PRIDE’ across the Google Sheet columns, you would find a pleasant surprise.
You will see the sheet turn into rainbow colors that signify LGBTQ pride.
Paul Stamitaou, who works as a designer at Twitter tweeted this information with a screenshot demonstrating the same.
just learned that if you type PRIDE across Google Sheet columns it does this: pic.twitter.com/Lf7hfWJyP1

He wrote, “Just learned that if you type PRIDE across Google Sheet columns it does this.”
The tweet gained a lot of traction and what caught people’s attention is that the code wasn’t limited to English only but also worked in Portuguese as well.
Works with other languages too. Portuguese (“orgulho”), e. g.: pic.twitter.com/y1tgdumoZZ

The first rainbow flag, a symbol of LGBTQ pride was designed by artist Gilbert Baker, who was openly gay and a drag queen. June came to be recognized as the LGBTQ Pride Month in honour of victims of the Stonewall riots of June 1969 in New York.
