Google trends 2019: Cricket world cup is the most searched topic in India

Mumbai: Google released their ‘year in search results’ which show the top searched topics in India. Cricket is a sport loved by many Indians and it is proved too as the ‘Cricket World Cup’ emerged as the top searched topic in 2019 followed by Lok Sabha Elections, Chandrayaan 2, Kabir Singh and Avengers: Endgame.
Among searches related to how to, topics like ‘how to vote’, ‘how to link Aadhaar to PAN’, ‘how to check name in voter list’. ‘how to check NEET result’ and ‘how to select channels as per TRAI’ have topped the chart.
The top 5 searches which Indians wanted to know were, ‘what is Article 370’, ‘what is exit poll’, ‘what is black hole’, ‘what is howdy Modi’ and ‘what is e-cigarette’
Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman became a well-known personality after his heroics in Pakistan and he emerged as the top searched personality in India.
