Goons’ assault shopkeeper; make off with cash and gold

Kundapur: A shopkeeper was attacked and robbed by a gang of six persons who reportedly entered the shop at Thekkatte in the taluk, assaulted the shopkeeper, damaged CCTV Camera and made off with cash and gold, on Thursday evening, September 13th.
The victim shopkeeper has been identified as Krishnamurthy Kottary, a resident of Kattemane in Ulthoor village near Thekkatte, who operates his shop, S M Enterprises, in Thekkatte. He was seriously injured in this incident and is receiving treatment at a private hospital at Koteshwar.
Mr Krishnamurthy claims that the accused, Sudeep Shetty, Butler Santhosh alias Santhu, Harish, Shashi, Girish and Sandesh entered the shop at about 7.30 pm on Thursday and attacked him. They accused made off with a piece of the gold chain he was wearing around his neck, as the chain snapped when the robbers yanked it. It is said that they also took away the cash from the cash register in the shop.
Kundapur police have registered a case in this regard and have launched an investigation into it.
