Government withdraws transfers of police officers ordered by BSY

Bengaluru: The branch of work force and administrative reforms has withdrawn the transfer of IPS officers ordered by B S Yeddyurappa within hours of taking charge as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
Railway additional director general of police, Amar Kumar Pandey, and Karnataka State Reserve Police DIG, S Girish, had been transferred to north east division Sandeep Patil, had been transferred to state intelligence department. Bidar district superintendent of police, D Devaraj, was transferred to the city central division while Anti Corruption Bureau superintendent of police. Chikkamagaluru district superintendent of police, Annamalai, was transferred to Ramanagara as superintendent of police.
In the in the interim, the state had gotten order from Supreme Court that there is no provision for the government to take any regulatory or strategy choices before demonstrating majority on the floor of the assembly. Based on this order, the department took the choice to switch the said orders.
