Govt appoints Gunman for BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna over death threats

Udupi: The government has provided security cover for Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) national general secretary of OBC Morcha, Yashpal Suvarna after he received death threats for opposing Hijab in the classrooms.

He received life-threatening calls and messages on social media and a bounty has been announced to kill him.

Yashpal who is also the vice-president of the Udupi government’s Pre-University College Development Committee has been provided with a gunman for his security.

A bounty has also been declared on social media on Sri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik. The post claims that whoever murders Survarna and Muthalik would receive Rs 10 lakh.

BJP Yuva Morcha activists have registered a complaint at the Kaup police station and demanded strict action against the admin of the social media page.
