Govt directs bullock cart owners to provide resting period for bulls between 12 noon to 3 pm

Bengaluru: The state animal husbandry department in order to ensure enough rest for the bulls, the directed the farmers and bullock cart owners not to make the bulls toil hard between 12 noon and 3 pm keeping in mind the scorching sun and heat wave.
The initiative by the government was taken so that the bulls get enough rest and this would also not allow the farmers and bullock cart owners toil hard the bulls to fulfill their needs.
The state animal husbandry department further said that legal action against those who violate the said rule and directed the police department to initiate action under the provisions of cruelty against animals in case of violation.
The new rule will be implemented through the respective SPs in each district, informed sources.
