Govt high school headmaster dies in road mishap

Kushtagi: A government high school headmaster was killed after his bike rammed into a stationary bus near Kushtagi here on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Shekarappa Nagappa Kateigar (54), a resident of Takkalaki village.
Shekarappa was the head teacher at Kanakagiri Taluk Musalapura Government High School.
The mishap took place when he was travelling to Kushtagi after work hours. Shekharappa two-wheeler rammed into a bus, which had broken down near the solar plant.
Shekharappa sustained severe head injuries as he was not wearing a helmet and died on the spot due to profuse bleeding.
His mortal remains were handed over to the family members after a post-mortem at the Kushtagi Government Hospital on Thursday morning.
A case has been registered at Kushtagi police station.
