Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Thursday informed that the state government is mulling a re-investigation into the Paresh Mesta death case.

Araga said that Paresh’s father has appealed for a re-investigation of the death case. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will take a decision on the issue, he added.

The CBI, in its charge-sheet submitted to the court, termed that Paresh Mesta’s death was accidental and was not due to murder.

Regarding news about PFI’s plans to demolish the Ram Mandir, Araga said that he will talk on the issue after he collects information. “Several PFI leaders have been arrested so far and an investigation is ongoing into their alleged activities.

“Our government will not protect anyone threatening the nation’s unity and integrity. The Central and state governments have acted against such forces and arrests are being made,” he said.
