Govt medical college in Udupi soon announces MLA Bhat

Udupi: MLA Raghupati Bhat announced on December 18 that a government medical college will be planned in the district soon.
He stated that in a recently held meeting of the Committee on Government Assurances at the Vidhan Soudha he discussed with the officials about it.
A 20-acre site for the college has already been identified, he said.
He added that the plan to increase the district hospital’s bed capacity to 250 has already been approved by the government. Further, a proposal to start a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) course in a building near the district hospital was also discussed in the meeting.
