Bengaluru: Kids studying in government schools will now get to wear colorful uniforms from the next academic year.
The government has permitted the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) to choose the color of the uniforms to be distributed among students.
Usually, the process of procuring and stitching of the uniform is done at the beginning of the academic year. However this time the schools have remained shut due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, the SDMC has been vested with power to select their choice of colour for the uniform and go ahead with the procurement process on commencement of 2020-21 academic calendar.
