Govt schools and colleges to be repaired soon: CM HDK

Bengaluru: Chief Minister H.D Kumaraswamy said that the Government has sanctioned funds to repair government school and college buildings.

CM said that, Rs. 505 cr has been alloted for the repair work of Primary schools and Rs 78.90 crores allotted for high school buildings.

The repair work will start once the render is approved, he said. 

Rs 150 crore has been released to build toilet in primary and secondary schools, he added.

Shalini Rajneesh, Principal Secretary, Department of Public Instruction (DPI) said that most of the students studying in Government schools cannot afford to study in private schools. It is the responsibility of the government to provide the best education and good environment to them.

Kumaraswamy instructed the officials to study the schools of New Delhi and implement New Delhi model schools in Karnataka as well.
