Govt to bring ordinance to increase contingency fund from Rs 80 cr to Rs 2200 cr

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa held a cabinet meeting and decided to bring an ordinance to facilitate the release of Rs 2,000 to farmers of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
“Ordinance to release Rs. 2000/- State’s Share under Krishi Samman Yojana to farmers*– Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa held a cabinet meeting today in which a decision was taken to bring out an ordinance to increase the contingency fund from Rs 80 crore to Rs 2200 crore,” tweeted Chief Minister’s Office, Karnataka.
ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಕಿಸಾನ್ ಸಮ್ಮಾನ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ಕಂತಿನ 2000 ರೂ. ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಾಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಗಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

After conducting the meeting BS Yeddiyurappa left for New Delhi and is expected to discuss and finalise many issues, including his cabinet, the new BJP state president, the coalition rebels who resigned and also funds for Karnataka, which is facing both drought and floods at the same time.
It is also gathered that Yediyurappa has carried a list of 20 members to be inducted into his cabinet.
