Govt to make QR Code-based Aadhar cards mandatory for fishermen: Srinivas

Mangaluru: District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary informed that the government had decided to make QR Code-based Aadhar cards mandatory for the fishermen and that the department will soon issue circular on this issue.
Speaking after inaugurating a program of interaction on coastal fisheries held Netravati auditorium of the Zilla panchayat here on Tuesday, June 30, Srinivas said that possessing or QR Code biometric cards are compulsory for putting together information about the safety of fishermen and other information about them.
He further added that the government has decided to provide these cards through Seva Sindhu websites or the respective fisheries departments.
