Govt to procure 6 lac sarees from weavers, distribute among female Covid warriors

Dharwad: Coming to the rescue of weavers, who have been unable to sell their products during lockdown the state government has decided to procure six lakh sarees from them.
The government will procure the stock that remains unsold and distribute it among female corona warriors, Handloom and Textile Minister Srimanth Patil told reporters.
Two sarees each will be given to anganwadi workers, Asha workers and female corona warriors, he added.
