“Earlier there were 10 cases a year. Now there are about 250 infected cases in the State. The government will provide the needed treatment and drugs to all of them,” he added.

“Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has said that the drug for the infection will be distributed soon. We will provide free treatment to those suffering from the infection. A committee of experts set up on this infection has submitted its report. The fungus has mostly been detected in those who were in the ICU on oxygen for a prolonged period,” Sudhakar said.
