Graffiti for a positive message: Pixncil group create awareness on social issues

Youth activism and engagement can bring about important social changes that are sometimes left behind. The fresh perspective of young people bring to the world gives them a unique ability to think up creative solutions.
Now, a group of talented youngsters of Mangaluru who call themselves Pixncil have come together to create awareness on various social issues and send across a positive message.
They painted a picture of a fisherwoman on a wall near Urwa Market, which the team says is a tribute to the Mogaveera community.
Earlier, the team drew a portrait of an elderly man near Chilimbi. The artwork was titled “It’s You Tomorrow” and they used the metaphor of a Banana peel that protects the fruit when it is tender but is soon discarded once the fruit no longer needs it.
Pixncil consists of five youngsters Vinod, Pruthvi, Ajeesh, Abhijith and Nithesh
