Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who is on a Grama Vaastavya stayed at a government school in Karegudda on Wednesday, June 26 night.

Kumaraswamy along with his minister spent the night at the Government school. He was also seen sleeping on the floor, informed sources.

Kumaraswamy had earlier spent the night at Government Primary School in Chandraki village on June 21.

Earlier in the day, CM lost his cool after hundreds of members of Tungabhadra Neeravari Valaya Hangami Karmika Sangha and Hutti Gold Mines Staff and Employees Union blocked his convoy demanding fulfilment of their long pending demands.

Later K Shivana Gouda Nayak, BJP MLA from Devadurga was detained by police in Raichur for protesting against the Chief Minister’s programme.

“Grama Vastavya” programme was first started in Kumaraswamy’s regime as the state’s chief minister from 2006-2007 with BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa as his Deputy Chief Minister. After his party, Janata Dal (Secular), faced a severe drubbing in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the programme focuses on strengthening the party’s relations with the locals and noting the plight of the common man.
