Grand wedding at Thokkottu brings traffic to a standstill along NH 66

Ullal: A grand wedding was celebrated at Kallapu near Ullal Thokkottu. However it also led to a grand traffic jam along the Mangaluru-Kasaragod national highway.

Every time there’s a wedding celebration conducted at Unity hall in Kallapu, the travelers along the national highway are compelled to face a hell of a situation.

A temporary hall was constructed on the empty space near the Unity Hall for the wedding celebration and the guests, who arrived for the function, parked their vehicles on the roadside. Consequently, it gave birth to a traffic block as long as 5 kilometers.

Because of the haphazard parking, thousands of travelers were forced to spend almost three hours in the traffic jam. This caused much trouble to people returning back home after a hard day’s work as well to women and children.
