Groups clash during Ganesh Chaturthi procession; 4 injured

Belagavi: Four persons were injured after two groups got into a fight during Ganesh Chaturthi procession on Monday, September 2.

The injured are identified as Mahesh Krishna Dhalavi (22), Shekar Krishna Dhalavi (27), Kalpana (48) and Raju Kandooba Patil (24).

As per the sources, the fight was started after a group started using abusive words under the influence of alcohol.

Following the incident, Belagavi rural ASI K Shivreddy visited the spot and carried on the investigation.
