Guest house to be built in Ayodhya for K’taka pilgrims: Min Shashikala Jolle

Mantralaya: State Muzrai Minister Shashikala Jolle has said that soon a guest house for Karnataka pilgrims would be built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, to facilitate the Sri Ram Mandir pilgrimage.

Inaugurating the newly built Karnataka Guest House in Mantralaya on Tuesday she said, “We have approached the concerned officials of the Uttar Pradesh Government to allot land to build a guest house for Ayodhya pilgrims from Karnataka. In a few days, I’ll personally meet UP CM Yogi Adityanath and discuss with him”.

“When compared to last 10 years, maximum funds have been allocated to Muzrai Department in the current dispensation. Hence, we have already sanctioned a total of Rs. 232 crores for the construction of guest houses in Sabrimala of Kerala, Pandharpur of Maharashtra, Mantralaya in Karnataka, and Tirumala of Andhra Pradesh. The construction process is under progress in the mentioned places”, she added.

Meanwhile, the minister inaugurated the guest house in Mantralaya which is built at the cost of Rs. 4 crores. The guest house contains 50 rooms out of which 40 are deluxe and 10 VIP rooms. The Muzrai Department has given furniture worth Rs 54 lakhs. As of July 23, 2022, for further development of guest houses, an additional amount of Rs. 4 crores is already being allocated.
