Gulabi was murdered confirms autopsy report

Kundapur: The post mortem report has confirmed that Gulabi Mogaveera (55) from Hemmady Haregodu, who died on March 1, was murdered, informed the police on March 5.

According to the report, the murder was committed through strangulation and asphyxiation. A murder case has been registered by the police.

The victim was living alone in her house since the death of her husband. Her mysterious death was suspected by the locals to be a murder for gain as she the gold ornaments which she wore daily were missing.

The autopsy report was received by the police on Monday and there is a suspicion that the murder was committed by those who knew of her routine.

A few persons under suspicion are being interrogated by the police and the case is being probed from all angles, but no arrests have yet been made.
