Gulf Kannadiga, Rajyotsava awardee Bijur G Mohandas passes away

Byndoor: BG Mohandas, a winner of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award for 2019, died of illness on Monday, August 31, family sources said.
Mohandas, who has a D. Pharma from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, has held various posts in the Persian Gulf countries where he migrated in the 1980s and worked for Kannadiga in those countries. He has conducted many literary events through Kannada groups there.
He is credited with starting the Karnataka Sangha in Dubai.
