Gundlupete: 8-yo sustains leg injury after being run over by school vehicle

A eight-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after the driver of a private school vehicle inadvertently ran over his right leg in Gopalapura village on August 17 morning.
The injured victim, Hrithvik, son of Siddappa from Gopalapura is a Class two student of a private school in Kannegal village.
The mishap took place when Hrithvik was waiting on a bridge for his school vehicle. The driver was reversing the vehicle and inadvertently ran over his right leg due to the narrowness of the road.
Local residents quickly transported Hrithvik to a public hospital in Gundlupete for initial treatment. Later he was transferred to a hospital in Mysuru for further treatment.
Sub-Inspector Sahebgauda visited the accident site to investigate and has seized the school vehicle. A case has been filed at the Gundlupete police station.
