Gunshot-injured Mahadev Bhairagonda shifted to another hospital

Vijayapura: Mahadev Bhairagonda, who was seriously injured in a shootout a week ago, has been shifted to a different hospital.

“In the interest of his security, the place where he has been moved to undergo treatment is concealed. The family members shifted Mahadev Bhairagunda elsewhere for better treatment and security,” said SP Anupam Agarwal.

Mahadeva, a resident of Kerur village of Chadchan taluk, was shot on the afternoon of Monday, November 2. A tipper was crashed into his vehicle before gunfire was opened on him and his companions by the assailants.

Mahadeva was seriously injured after being hit by three bullets. His manager, Baburam Maruti Kanchanal, 64, who was in another car, died on the spot. While his driver, Laxman Khogavana, later died in hospital.

Police have arrested seven people in connection with the incident.
