Bengaluru: JD(S) chief and former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru due to his poor health on Saturday evening.

Kumaraswamy had been on an extensive tour across Karnataka, including selecting JDS candidates and submitting nomination papers. Doctors at Manipal Hospital have advised him to rest for a few days, for which he was admitted to the hospital.

The JD(S) has postponed all his engagements for Sunday, and Kumaraswamy has asked party workers not to worry. He plans to rest and participate in the election campaign once he has recovered, the statement added.
